Areté Visual Arts, founded in 2007, was a collective of artists united by a shared commitment to creativity, critical thought, and collaboration. While many of our members resided in the West Country of England, our cohort included artists from South Africa, the USA, and Sweden contributing diverse perspectives. Our goal was to create work that resonated across cultures and experiences. By coming together, we not only enriched our individual practices but also fostered a dynamic environment where experimentation and innovation thrived.
